Security of data is important

Get insight in our way of building and how we guarantee security and reliability.

This is how we guarantee your security

Our hearts start beating faster from technical terms such as ISO, hosting and firewalls, they are indespensible when talking about security of data. We want to be open about how we protect your data and we find it important to be transparant in the method we use. It will perhaps be a bit of a technical story for when you are not technologically specialised, but we will try to keep it as simple as possible.

ISO 27001

Lets start with the ISO. Hubper has been ISO 27001 certified since 2018. The ISO 27001 certification is a worldwide acknowledged standard for carefully managing information security. Wanting to achieve this certificate was a logical result of our vision and our existing method.

We're aware of the fact that learning is a personal process and that this data of users and companies must be protected. Several components of Hubper are examined before we obtained the ISO certificate. This ranges from our personnel file to our work processes and the protection of our servers. Would you want to have a copy of our certificate or of the declaration of applicability? Do not hesitate to contact us!

Infrastructure

We deliberately chose for the managed servers of True for our hosting. Our hosting party is besides ISO 27001 certified also in possession of the ISAE 3402 Type II rapports. These rapports specify that they - in case of outsourcing - can offer certainty regarding the security of information.

We can completely focuss on developping an refining the Hubper platform by purchasing managed servers, in which the hosting party relieves us of worries concerning infrastructure and security. Nevertheless, we are still closely involved in the infrastructure.

Development

Security is a fixed component in the whole product development, from the first stroke of a pen until the final release. Impactful new features or other improvements on the platform will always be connected to an impact analyses and/or a DPIA (Data Protection Impact Assessment).

We also work with DTAP (Development, Testing, Acceptance and Production). This results in the development and test environment of Hubper being completely separated from the acceptance and production environment. Because our acceptance environment is identical to our production environment it's fairly simple for us to test a release thorougly. We at Hubper can also suffer from tunnel vision from time to time, therefore our environments are regularly tested by external "hackers". In this way, we can ensure that our system is as secure as possible.
